I believe the Lord bestows a true blessing upon me, allowing me to do what He did
not design me to do...FLY.

I do not know if you are like me, but I came onto this earth with the innate desire to be
off the ground. As a small child, I used to watch the hawks soar over the fields and wished
I could join them in the air.
When I grew up, I started taking single engine lessons in a Cessna 152, and did not find it
to be enough pure flying. I then went on to sailplane's, and learned about soaring flight. In
1998 I started hang gliding, and that was by far the purest form of flight that I had ever
found. More importantly, I had a blast finally soaring with the hawks of my childhood! I
spent the next five years helping Austin Airsports with hang gliding instruction in Houston
and Austin. I learned to mountain launch, truck tow, and I built the first tow trailor for
aero-towing in Texas. I took my first trike ride in 1992, and was delighted how easy it was
to get airborne with a motor. Of course, I also realized that I was not getting any younger,
so the "next step" was the trike.

About the wing!
In 2001 I asked AirBorne Windsports if they would provide a custom sail to look like the
Texas flag. They informed me that the big white star might be a problem, but they would ask
the sail maker. He promptly said "no problems mate!" and the rest is history. We have had
a blast over the years taking our trike to many places in Texas and it has had quite a bit of
notoriety. I was featured in the Houston Chronicle at the time of the Wright Brothers 100th
anniversary as well as in a photo spread that was featured @ the George Bush Library July
4th 2005. We had hundreds of children and their parents take pictures sitting in "Miss
Texas" and was honored to be one of the featured displays at the festival.
